from Tyler. Tyler State Park is made up of 985 acres of woods surrounding
a small lake. Twenty-five additional parks are located in Tyler,
all with picnic areas. Four local parks have ideal hiking and bike
trails.

Tyler having been recognized as the number one golf
city in Texas by Golf
Digest Magazine, pushed golf to the top of
the list for a year around outdoor activity. There are over 17
courses, both public and private, within a one hour drive of downtown.
